Caution: Never Use Human Toothpaste
Never use human toothpaste on cats, as ingredients like xylitol and fluoride can cause poisoning. Xylitol can lead to hypoglycemia and acute liver damage, while fluoride may cause liver and kidney injury or arrhythmias. Since cats swallow toothpaste rather than spitting it out, always use products specifically formulated for cats. If your cat accidentally ingests human toothpaste, contact your veterinarian immediately.
