3D-printed prosthetic limbs are not suitable for every animal. A precise diagnosis by a veterinarian and an assessment of suitability are essential. In particular, use may be limited in the presence of chronic illness, skin disease, or nerve damage. Suitability criteria: Completed wound healing, preserved muscle function, and stable body weight. Contraindications: Severe pain, skin infection, risk of bone breakage, or serious nerve damage. Managing the adaptation period: During the first week, gradually increase wearing time by 2–3 hours per day. Skin care is essential: Check the skin's condition once a day after wear and remove moisture.
